D11 Dozer Intra-Provincial Transport

D11 Dozer Intra-Provincial Transport
Can Ridge Industries completed the pick up, transport, & unload of a D11 Dozer from Boston Bar to the Lower Mainland

Can Ridge Industries Ltd. was contacted to pick up, transport and unload a large item north of Boston Bar at the Jackass Mountain washout on Hwy #1.

Our scope of work was to participate in the dismantling of a D11 dozer, in order to reduce the dozer’s overall size for highway transport. One of the items removed from the D11 was a massive 29,000 lb. dozer blade. This dozer was just one of many pieces of critical equipment used to help reopen Hwy #1 due to major washouts and damage caused by the November atmospheric rivers.

Can Ridge utilized a 100-Ton rough terrain mobile crane, owned and operated by Sheps Crane Services Inc, that has been on site since the emergency repairs began. This RT crane lifted and placed the dozer blade on to one of our many flat-deck trucks for transportation back to the Lower Mainland.

Once the blade arrived back in the Lower Mainland, two of our much appreciated team members lifted and unloaded the blade in tandem for safe placement.

These projects require management, safety, dispatch and field staff to work seamlessly together.
