Two Speed Boats Shipped Overseas to British Columbia
Recently, Can Ridge was contracted by a customer to unload two speed boats that were shipped overseas from Europe for use in British Columbia. The two speedboats, a 25 ft. weighing 3300 lbs and a 22 ft. weighing 2200 lbs, arrived at Can Ridge’s storage and warehousing facility inside of a 60 ft. shipping container.
Each boat was secured inside of a steel frame, which was then turned onto it’s side to fit inside of the high cube container. With the help of specialized load moving skates and a forklift, our Industrial Moving team removed each of the boats from the container.
Each boat was then moved outside of the warehouse where our Mobile Crane Division rotated the boats to their correct orientation.
The Industrial Moving Team then cut away the steel frame secured around the boat.
With the boat’s free, and resting in the saddle of the steel frame, our Mobile Crane Division picked up the front of the boat’s with a folding boom crane, while a forklift picked up the rear of the boat’s. The remaining steel frame was then slid out of the way so that the customer could reverse the boat trailer underneath the suspended boat.
The boat was then lowered onto the boat trailer for the customer to tow away!
Our Industrial Moving Team and Crane Division were able to execute and complete the job to a tee, marking down another successful day for Can Ridge Industries Ltd.
