Can Ridge Industries Ltd. is accepting applications for a full-time truck driver willing to train into a role as a Mobile Crane operator to work within the Lower Mainland. Can Ridge Industries Ltd. is a full service transportation and crane company. We provide logistical solutions for commercial and industrial products. Our equipment operates throughout B.C. with our flatdecks also servicing the Western USA. With our wide range of equipment, we are able to handle large capacity loads, high reach locations of up to 90 feet, and work in crowded sites.

Dispatcher / Supervisor

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Dispatcher / Supervisor, the Truck Driver is responsible for picking up and delivering materials to job sites as scheduled and in accordance with all safety regulations and consistently providing professional service at all times.
Can Ridge Industries has a ZERO tolerance policy regarding drugs and alcohol, and undertakes testing as allowed by law and pursuant to its Drug and Alcohol Policy.

Responsibilities Include

  • Training to become a mobile crane operator
  • Daily inspection of crane and rigging gear
  • Daily inspection of tractor
  • Project planning and execution
  • Working independently and as part of a team
  • Transportation of materials and equipment to various sites throughout the Lower Mainland

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 1 driver’s license
  • 2+ years’ experience in the construction industry
  • 3+ years’ driving experience

Requirements

  • Willingness to train into a role as Mobile Crane Operator
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Organized, punctual and dependable
  • Physically fit to perform labour intensive tasks
  • Ability to work safely using required PPE
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely fashion
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and a strong team player
  • Knowledge of transportation routes in the Lower Mainland
  • Strong commitment to safety
